I'm now working on a video series about how I make money with timelapse & hyperlapse photography. Here's a quick overview:

Commercial campaigns. We figure out a concept for a brand or event and produce everything from start to finish. This is why I recently founded MVDP Studios.
Operator. I'm part of a team, like a camera operator, with a little more specialization. Often deployed at festivals or brand activations.
Social media. I promote products to my audience. This is very niche as not a lot of people have a following. It's not something I often love doing but it's part of what pays the bills.
Licensing. Every now and then I get a direct inquiry from someone to license one or more of my existing shots they've found online. Rates get calculated based on the intended usage.
Contributions. Even more rare is creating educational content for publications like Professional Photo Magazine.

Lumix has introduced new firmware upgrades to the S5II and S5IIX full-frame mirrorless cameras. I own both cameras and use them weekly to capture my timelapse and hyperlapse footage.
